The Managed Exchange network has been designed and built according to Microsoft's best practice Internet Data Centre guidelines. The result is an advanced technical infrastructure environment specifically designed to support email solutions. The repeatable configurations integrate operating systems, servers, storage, and networking, and they scale for departmental, small business, enterprise, and global service delivery on a range of platforms, including Windows and BlackBerry.
Our network can support all the advanced security and functional requirements demanded of a fully managed Microsoft Exchange 2003 solution. In addition, we offer a highly redundant and low-latency network. Cisco routers and switches are used throughout the network to ensure peak network performance, allowing us to promise availability of at least 99.9%, guaranteed by SLA.
The backbone relies on multiple routers from separate providers to ensure maximum hardware redundancy. Should any router fail, the others in place will automatically take over and the network infrastructure is split across multiple London facilities with multiple routes between the locations to further reduce the chance of a single point of failure bringing the network down.
Our core email network is designed to take up to 25 Gbps and can increase as required with over 2 Gbps external capacity coming in through redundant routes to our server farm in London Docklands. Peering agreements are in place with over 400 ISPs in the UK, Europe and USA and provide an array of paths for optimum routing of your email traffic.
Managed Exchange's entire network is being continuously upgraded to ensure we can deliver on our performance and uptime promises, and currently runs at less than a quarter capacity.
